Community Volunteer (Community Volunteer)

At TWFRS, we want our volunteers to represent the communities we serve. Volunteers bring a range of skills, experiences and perspectives that help us connect with local people across Tyne and Wear.

As a Community Volunteer, you'll support TWFRS staff at a variety of community activities and events. This may involve helping staff engage with members of the public, sharing fire safety information and signposting people who may benefit from a Safe and Well Visit.

You'll also help us raise awareness of current campaigns and initiatives by distributing information within local communities and supporting engagement activities where needed.

No two opportunities are the same, and the role can vary depending on the needs of the Service and the communities we work with.
